Every house is just a structure until somebody lives in it.

That belief has guided my work as a licensed architect across Long Island’s East End. I don’t design floor plans – I design the way light moves through a room, the way a kitchen pulls a family together, the way a porch opens to a summer evening. The home is never the building; it’s the life that happens inside it.

I’m personally involved in every project, start to finish. I care about the details most people never see – the framing, the flashing, the quiet way two materials meet – because those are what make a home feel right and last for generations. And I’m contractor-friendly by conviction: a home is never built by one person or one trade. The best work comes from an architect and builder who genuinely collaborate, and I treat the contractor as a partner, not an adversary. That’s how projects stay on budget, on schedule, and true to the design.

Most of my work is right here in Suffolk County – much of it in the Hamptons and across the East End – where I know the land, the light, the local codes, and the way people really live out here.

After decades of experience and expertise, I’ve learned that great architecture is equal parts vision and listening.

New Construction

A new home is the rare chance to get everything right – and I treat that responsibility seriously. I design custom, site-specific homes from the first sketch to the final walk-through, shaping every space around how you actually live rather than a template.

Because I work hand-in-hand with your builder from day one, the design that leaves my desk is the design that gets built – no surprises, no value-engineering away the soul of the home. I sweat the proportions, the light, and the details, so the finished house feels inevitable on its lot and timeless for the decades you’ll spend in it.

• Custom, site-specific design from concept through construction
• Full architectural drawings, permits, and approvals handled for you
• Energy-efficient, code-compliant, built to last
• Hands-on collaboration with your builder at every phase
• Designed around your daily life, not a stock plan
• Deep familiarity with East End sites, setbacks, and coastal codes

Thoughtful Additions

The hardest part of a great addition is what comes before the design: truly understanding the existing home. Years of experience have taught me to read a house – its structure, its quirks, the way it was built – so the new work integrates instead of fighting it.

I design additions that look like they were always there: matching scale, rhythm, materials, and rooflines while quietly transforming how the home functions for your family. Done right, no one can tell where the old house ends and the new one begins.

• Careful assessment of existing conditions and structure first
• Second stories, primary suites, family rooms, expanded kitchens
• Seamless match of proportions, materials, and rooflines
• Structural and code coordination for safe, lasting integration
• More space and better flow – without losing the home’s character
• Decades of experience reading and respecting existing homes

Luxury Outdoor Spaces

Out here on the East End, the outdoors isn’t an afterthought – it’s half the reason people fall in love with a home. The summers, the light, the way life moves outside; great outdoor space is essential to how we live in the Hamptons.

I design porches, patios, pool surrounds, and outdoor rooms as true extensions of the architecture – composed with the same care as any interior. The result is a seamless transition from inside to out and a yard that becomes the heart of the house from June through October.

• Covered porches, patios, and outdoor living rooms
• Pool houses, cabanas, and pool-surround design
• Outdoor kitchens and entertaining areas built for East End summers
• Seamless indoor-to-outdoor transitions
• Hardscape and site planning integrated with the architecture
• Designed for how we actually live out east

Remodeling Projects

Sometimes the best home isn’t a new one – it’s the one you already love, reimagined. I rework existing spaces to feel brighter, larger, and far more in tune with how you live today.

I preserve what gives a home its character and modernize everything that should simply work better – opening up light, improving flow, and bringing tired spaces back to life. And because I coordinate closely with your contractor, the renovation runs smoothly from demo to final detail.

• Kitchen and bath renovations
• Whole-home reconfiguration and modernization
• More natural light and open, livable layouts
• Original character preserved, function transformed
• Full drawings and close contractor coordination
• Historic and older homes handled with care

Interior Design

Architecture doesn’t stop at the walls. I carry the design all the way through – space planning, millwork, finishes, lighting, and the small details that make a room feel truly finished.

Because the interiors come from the same hand as the architecture, everything is cohesive: nothing feels bolted on, and every room flows naturally into the next. The result is a home that feels considered from the framing to the final fixture.

• Space planning and layout refinement
• Custom millwork, cabinetry, and built-ins
• Finish, fixture, and material selection
• Lighting and detail design
• Cohesive interiors that flow from the architecture
• One vision, executed end to end
